PROMIS’ overall services could not be completed without the contribution of volunteer workers and trainees. Without them, certain sectors would not exist, as for example, Saturday School and Support to Families.

Our goal is to coordinate the supply and demand of the different sectors of our organization and of volunteer workers. Our aim is also to satisfy external demand coming from organizations and from events taking place in our district. Sector promotion is achieved through information kiosks and various consultative tables or meetings.

Good reasons for getting involved
Several reasons explain the motivation of volunteer workers to come to our organization: The mission and reputation of our organization, the aim of helping newcomers and immigrants, and the chance of having a first-hand working experience in their field in Quebec. Some wish to tryout a new field of interest, some wish to prepare their retirement, and others simply wish to help people.
